Join us at North Branch to Celebrate Native American History Month. Lee Anne Titangos will be here to share the history and images of Bancroft Library’s Native American collections.  Leanne Hinton, UC Berkeley emerita professor of Linguistics and the force behind the Breath of Life program which helps indigenous Californian communities preserve their languages, will discuss how these collections are used by the local Native American communities.   

The Bancroft Library, which is free and open to the general public, is one of the largest and most heavily used libraries of manuscripts, rare books, and unique materials in the United States. Come to learn about Native American History, the Breath of Life program, and the Bancroft Library.
