Aptly located in the Treasury of York Minster,home to fine examples of Early Medieval Christianart including the 1000 year-old Horn of Ulf andthe York Gospels, this exhibition will uncover thecultural factors at play as the citizens of York, be theyChristians or pagans, struggle to make sense of thenew religion whilst trying to maintain the beliefs ofthe old faith.With artefacts from the JORVIK collection on displayfor the first time since the Boxing Day floods andViking hosts on hand to guide you through thiscritical moment in our history, this exhibition is aunique experience in York this summer. JORVIK's special exhibitions are for a limited timeonly ahead of the re-opening of JORVIK Viking Centrein Spring 2017.
