The Wheaton College Artist Series presents Songs of Praise: Masterworks by Bach and Mendelssohn with John Nelson, conductor, on Friday, February 24, 2017, at 7:30pm in Edman Chapel. The concert will be featuring Mendelssohn's "Lobgesang" (Hymn of Praise) and Bach's Cantata, "Ein Feste Burg," with college choirs and professional soloists.

Wheaton's internationally renowned, Grammy Award-winning conductor, alumnus John Nelson returns to the stage for his seventh Artist Series appearance. Maestro Nelson will be joined by the choral and orchestral forces of the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music and internationally acclaimed soloists for a unique program celebrating the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation.

Prior to the concert, all ticket holders are invited to a pre-concert conversation at 6:30pm in Edman Chapel.

Edman Chapel is at 401 E. Franklin Street on the campus of Wheaton College. Ticket prices range from $10 to $45; to purchase tickets or for more information visit artistseries.org or call 630.752.5010.
