Daily Vinyl Weekend is a record culture event started by Daily Vinyl in 2014. Through curating vinyl markets and live shows we hope everyone can experience the charming elements heard when listening to vinyl. Over the past two years we have presented thousands of wonderful records through Daily Vinyl Weekend events and invited more than 60 musicians and DJs to perform. We’ve also imported more than 10 international record labels, witnessed the birth of several Chinese record pressings, and have recently finished Daily Vinyl’s first self-release record project. With everyone’s on-going support we believe that these achievements will continue to grow, but most importantly it’s the diggers’ sincere support that we appreciate the most!
We’ve got a few surprises up our sleeves for the second anniversary party, come and celebrate it with us!
New Venue
Located on the 4th floor of no. 218 Xinle Road, Elevator is fast becoming a trending venue for Shanghai’s party animals. Elevator has a unique namesake lift, interior decoration and Chinese specialised sports equipment. Elevator is the correct way to open up “urban life”. Daily Vinyl Weekend’s 2nd year anniversary is housed at Elevator, it’s the place to satisfy your whole weekend.

Yes, we have a warm-up party this time! Lots of our friends have experienced a whole afternoon of digging at previous events but maybe we had forgotten about a time to dance and get lost in music. Here’s our DJ lineup:
China Social Club:
DJs Frau and PCJ are the two behind China Social Club, the music and creative platform based in Shanghai. They bring together an Australian groove and house sound which is paired with their extensive knowledge of Asian rhythm. When not digging for awesome dance records, the Australian natives are throwing parties and collaborating on awesome projects like NTS Radio in China and overseas.
Ores:
Ores originates from Huizhou, Guangdong. His music collection is based around dance music. He owns large library of rare and exclusive music, including Cantonese Disco. His solid DJ mixing skills and broad selection defies expectation and leads to a “leveled and groovy dance floor”!
ollo-MAM:
When you attend Daily Vinyl parties, don’t miss out on the ‘lao ban’s DJ set! Dedicated and enterprising, ollo-MAM’s music represents the spirit of Daily Vinyl.
*Everyone who attends the pre-party will get a free drink ticket for the market on Sunday, 18th December.
