Looking for great jazz, R&B, funk and more in a fun, intimate setting? How about the Green Dolphin Lounge at – wait for it – the Central Area Senior Center. On the third Friday of the month, the center is transformed into a performance space, with noted local artists, good food and a no-host bar. The summer 2016 lineup includes; Maurice Bailey of the Collective opening for Ayron Jones (July 15); Triple Treat Band at the Seafair Patio Party (August 7); and the great Josephine Howell (August 19). July 15 Ayron Jones, One of Seattle’s hottest up-and-comers with his Jimi Hendrix guitar style and Robert Cray Blues is electrifying. The great drummer Maurice Bailey of The Collective will open for a solo Ayron Jones. The Collective musical style is funky in the style of Frankie Beverly and Maze. The Collective is made up of local musician from the Seattle area including John Studamire a graduate from Garfield High School. He continues to hone his skills as one of the top Bassist in the Seattle area. August 7 Seafair Patio Party Triple Treat Band plays and sings it all, including R & B, funk, fusion, Top 40 and original music.
