Cardiff selector Earl Jeffers brings his raw brand of house to the basement on Saturday 17th December for his Melange label party. As a keen record collector and crate digger, a great sense of history subtly permeates this man’s work; meaning old samples or Roy Ayres are as likely to crop up in his sounds as are forward facing synth motifs or classic 90s vibes.
He brings along Ryhthm Section’s Henry Wu to the booth. With his synthy classic ‘Good Morning Pecknaam’ having been championed by Gilles Peterson and his future classic rap ‘Croydon Depot’ making serious waves in the scene we can’t wait to see what he has in store. Melange staple Kofi Tarris rounds off the bill following his collaborative release with Earl, ‘Sure Thing’….
