Richard Bush, former lead singer for the A's has recently released his second CD with his new band The Peace Creeps called "Time Machine."
Recorded at Richard's home studio in Bensalem, Pa., the 12-song CD was co-written by AJay McLaughlin, a Frankford High School friend and poet who has been Richard's writing partner since the early 90s.
The A's had success in the late 70s/early 80s with two albums on Arista Records and the hit song "A Woman's got the Power."
After the break-up of that iconic Philadelphia band, Bush formed a couple of bands but ended up taking 11 years off from the music business before coming back with The Peace Creeps.
"I love the chemistry of this band. I've never been happier with a band in my life," Richard mused recently.
The second album features the current line-up of Bush on vocals, Johnny Marchiano (Iota, Kenn Kweder, etc) on guitar, Roy Fisher on bass, and Jeff Pancoast on drums.
Former A's member, Rocco Notte adds keyboards on the new CD but is not in the performing band.
The new CD is getting regular airplay on several area radio stations including 88.5 FM WXPN where The Peace Creeps also appeared at a free at noon concert recently. It is available to buy on iTunes or at live shows.
