The acclaimed Canta Libre Chamber Ensemble will be in concert, performing music for flute, harp and strings, March 15 @ 1 PM and March 18 @ 3:00 PM, both at St. Joseph’s College, The Parlors, Touhy Hall, 245 Clinton Ave., Brooklyn NY. \n\nRepertoire for these concerts will be Faure’s Pavane (1887), Interlude from Debussy’s Sonata for Flute, Viola and Harp (1915), Decide from Joseph Jongen’s Concert for Five (1923), Daniel-Lesur’s Suite Medievale (1945), Bernard Andrès Algues (1988) and Michael Amorosi’s Suite of Five Dances (1999). Performers will be Sally Shorrock, flute, Bernard Tamosaitis, cello, Veronica Salas, viola, Bradley Bosenbeck, violin and Karen Lindquist, harp. \n\nThese events are free and open to the public. They have been acclaimed by audiences throughout the Northeast, with regular performances in Connecticut, Westchester and Long Island. They were featured at The American Harp Society 50th Anniversary National Conference, and have appeared at Lincoln Center, on WNYC at The Green Space, The Music Festival of the Hamptons, Barge Music, Concerts at One at Trinity Church in Manhattan, WLIW TV, National Public Radio of Long Island, and The Brooklyn Public Library. Trained at the finest conservatories, many of the members have performed and toured internationally with appearances at major festivals, including Aspen, Spoleto and Tanglewood.
