This Regional Navigator Leadership meeting is an opportunity for you to meet others in your community, share ideas, and learn how to make a difference together. Presenters will be Leslie Lipson and David Blanchard. They will offer their experiences and knowledge so that you can grow as an advocate working to improve Georgia’s education system for children with disabilities and special healthcare needs. After completing her law degree in 2001, Leslie began working with the Georgia Advocacy Office (GAO), a nonprofit organization that protects people with disabilities from abuse and neglect and advocates on their behalf. Over her long career, she has provided assistance to the Department of Justice in its investigation of Georgia’s GNET educational system, and coordinated the Parent Leadership Support Project, which assisted hundreds of families across Georgia. We will offer a coffee reception that will begin at 9:30 am, with the program beginning at 10:00 am. Lunch will be provided. Registration is required for all attendees.
