A hands-on family-friendly event for people who want to be more self-reliant, live lightly on the earth and up-skill for resilience in these rapidly changing times.  Several workshops will happen concurrently throughout the event.   Includes: Three days of Workshops Workshop materials Some handouts Dinners (four nights) Onsite camping / campervan 4 nights - bring your own We also have limited shared sleeping space for those with only sleeping bags: 2 tipis, one bell tent, and one yurt-style tent.  Please email dana@bluefusion.co.nz to book your place if needed.  Shared lunch organisation - organised around what participants bring to share Optional 4th day - Friday fieldtrips Schedule Optional field trip day (not including transport) – Friday, Feb 10th, 8:30am - 5pm We will visit some amazing alternative technology projects around Golden Bay from Tukurua to Pigeon Saddle (Totaranui).   TRANSPORT Please bring $10 petrol koha if you don't have your own transport.   Please let us know if you have extra seats for those without transport. FIELD VISIT includes: * Renewable Energy Technologies: Small and large scale solar hot water heating, solar panel arrays, several types of micro-hydro systems (with and without battery storage) * Independent bioregional mains power generation * Sustainable food & beverage technologies: ‘waste’ recycling/re-use, food processing, beer brewing etc * Lunch Friday Evening Presentation - arrive around 6pm for dinner & presentation Surviving and thriving in future global scenarios of peak oil, climate change, economic collapse – the importance of ‘do it yourself, as simple as possible technologies from recycled materials. Tui Community is located on the top of the South Island. No, we'll have your registration details once you register, and will email you more details on what to bring, your food requirements, etc near the date of the event.   Can I update my registration information? Yes, please email dana@bluefusion.co.nz with your updated information.   Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable? Yes, you may transfer your ticket to another person or family, please contact dana@bluefusion.co.nz for such transfers. Children & Teenager's tickets Children & Teenagers must be accompanied by a paying adult. Children under 5 yrs old are free. Children are free on the Friday fieldtrip provided they bring their own food.   Family tickets Families include two adults and up to two children.  If you have more than two children, please purchase a child / teenager ticket for the extra child to help cover their food, accommodation & materials costs.
