With three platinum albums and insanely popular tour dates, Good Charlotte has become one of the most influential pop punk bands of the past ten years. Good Charlotte first broke on to the scene with their single "Little Things" and have gone on to perform with the likes of Justin Timberlake, Yellowcard, and Forever the Sickest Kids. After years of experimenting with their upbeat, pop punk style, Good Charlotte recently returned to their roots with 2010's Cardiology, which has come as a welcomed comeback to their fans. Those excited about the group's return to form are ecstatic over their ongoing tour dates in 2011, which will be wrapping up in Europe this August. Though they started out with little musical ability, identical twins Benji and Joel Madden decided to form a band in 1995 after attending a Beastie Boys tour date. After filling Good Charlotte with childhood friends, the band released their self-titled debut in 2000, which was supported by their first hit single, "Little Things." They hit it big in 2002 with the release of The Young and the Hopeless, which has gone triple platinum and featured the popular singles "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" and "The Anthem." Good Charlotte's experimentation with alternative styles on their next two albums would scare off some of their fans, but returned to their hit sound with 2010's Cardiology. Good Charlotte is celebrating their return to fame with many tour dates in 2011, which are concluding in Europe this August. Still to come are shows at the Big Day Out Festival, the Open Air Festival, and Pukkelpop. With Good Charlotte at the best they've been in years, fans should take this opportunity to catch their few remaining tour dates in 2011.
