It was the year 2004 when No Action played their very first gig. Starting off as just a 2-piece band @ 1st (Luke - Vocals,Guitar. Mike- Vocals, Bass)No Action started writing songs and covering favorites by Blink 182 and Green Day @ school talent shows. Soon later, Marty Minucci, To everyone else known as "Mooch" learned drums and joined the Band in late 2004. Playing loud, catchy, pop-punk music in Luke's basement, The band began to evolve from covers to originals. Before they knew it, No Action had put together 15 original songs and were ready to play shows and start recording their first demo. The band went on to play benefit concerts for hurricane katrina, which all together raised almost $4000, and visited The All Asia Cafe for their 1st official gig. With some help from John Clinton (Haven't Crashed Yet), No Action brought there unique sound out all the way to Watertown, Ma. After those shows, the band began recording their 1st demo "No Use For Reason" in fall of 2004. With cheap computer soundware, crappy distortion pedals, and no drum mics, No Action finished their demo by the beginning of 2005. By the middle of 2005, No Action had played several more shows around the Boston area. Practicing constantly and writing the best songs they could, No Action was ready for bigger places. In early 2006, the band entered the Emergenza Festival which was to be played @ the Middle East. The band made it to the second round of the festival, which was huge for the band. The band has been recently playing shows in the boston area and also @ V&M Bowling in Stoughton. Since then, The band has released a 14 track live cd, all with professional recordings live from the Middle East. Currently, the band is hard @ work writing, and recording new material for their 2nd album "Proceed With Caution" which will be released in late 2007. The album brings forth a stronger and more original sound then the previous record. We encourage everyone to take a listen and see what they think.
