The Wet usher in a new sound called "Whiskey Rock" fusing together driving rhythms, memorable rock riffs reminiscent of the golden age of rock and roll and the raw emotion of soulful blues that is purely insatiable. Since June of 2008 The Wet have been hard at work producing many original tracks, recording and gigging around Toronto quickly developing an undeniable sound and chemistry both on and off the stage. Since kindergarten guitarist Marcus Bucci and Lucas Page were inseparable. Discovering their influences ranging from Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin to ZZ Top and the Rolling Stones. As early as five years old Marcus began playing drums and guitar, rapidly becoming a diverse, young musician. In elementary school the two began jamming tracks in each others basement, building a chemistry that is so evident in their music today. When Marcus was building what would eventually become The Wet, he invited Lucas to sit in on a jam with a new guitarist turned bass player he met while working at Long & McQuade...Mike Appleton. Marcus referred to Mike as 'Robert Plant-esque' with the voice of a train. The jam went undeniably well, there was immediate chemistry between the three and no time was wasted solidifying the new power trio, crowned The Wet. Currently The Wet are at work finalizing an official demo cd consisting of original tracks, are in the process of writing new material all while preparing for their forthcoming tour slated for April 2009. The rebirth of true blues rock is finally upon us.
