It first came into being in 1992 when eight of the twelve lanes at the center's Garden Bowl were converted into space for a dance floor, stage, and ten billiard tables. Today, the Magic Stick remains on the second floor of the original Garden Bowl, but has undergone additional renovations and now boasts a much larger stage and dance area, plush carpet and tiling, raised platforms, and state-of-the-art lighting and sound.
