Located in Downtown Washington D.C., just blocks from the White House, the Warner Theatre has a long history of entertaining audiences in The Capital. Its classic red and gold interior and spacious facilities bring a feeling of nostalgia to this historic movie house, reminding audiences of the splendor and magic of the theater. The Warner Theatre always has a schedule full of legendary performers, and hosts many musicians that can't be found playing anywhere else in town.
The theater opened in 1924 and featured some of the first silent films along with vaudeville acts, accompanied by the theater's signature dancers, the Roxyettes. The Warner Theatre also enticed guests with a sprawling rooftop garden as well as a restaurant in the basement. It dropped the live performances in the mid 40s, after being purchased by Harry Warner (one of the Warner Bros.) and scheduled just movies until the 70s. Around that time the building became run down and used as an adult movie house before being renovated to its former glory and began showcasing live concerts. Since then, it has showcased such legendary performers as Frank Sinatra and The Rolling Stones, and has even more great performers lined up for the future.
As an iconic venue in the city of Washington D.C., the historic Warner Theatre continues its legacy of entertaining the cities inhabitants and visitors. To see who will show up at the Warner Theatre next, just check the schedule above.
