The Wonder Ballroom Portland opened as a music venue in 2004, but the building itself was built back in 1914. Decorated in earthy tones, and featuring gothic-style chandeliers, the main auditorium is a unique and distinctive space which has attracted the attention of many, many established acts. Beth Orton, Bat for Lashes, Yo La Tengo, Crash Kings, and Stereolabs are just a few of those featured on the Wonder Ballroom schedule in the past.

In addition to the main auditorium at The Wonder Ballroom is the Under Wonder lounge – a café / restaurant situated in the basement level of the Portland venue. Serving “sophisticated comfort food”, this additional venue provides the perfect solution to the question of “where to eat and still be in time to make the show?” The Wonder Ballroom is indeed, the full package.

lianavine nice venue, but needs more seats for the slower shows... we kinda all end up swaying, trying to keep our balance after the first couple songs

x_jordien i agree about the seating thing, but the fact that there aren't permanent seats make it a great place for rock concerts. i went to see thirty seconds to mars there once, and i was sure glad for the floor space. compared to that, seeing evanescense and the trans-siberian orchestra at the rose quarter was pretty boring. you can't really do much there for risk of falling.

humcity The Wonder Ballroom is a beautifully restored historic building constructed in 1914. With vaulted ceilings, a sparkling refinished maple floor and plenty of free parking, the Wonder Ballroom is a versatile facility for a wide variety of performances and events.
